When the snow starts to fall and the winter ski season commences guests can still drive up the mountain although there are a few things to know:

• Overnight guests are required to carry wheel chains for safety, and fit them if directed;
• A resort entry fee is charged on arrival at Mt Buller and attendants will give you direction on road conditions and where you can park your vehicle;
• You will be met at your car by the resort taxi service that will transfer you and your luggage directly from the carpark to the hotel (charges apply);
• There are also free shuttle services available for passengers travelling without luggage.

For safety, only authorised 4WD vehicles are permitted to enter the Mt Buller Village during the snow season.

If you are arriving by a coach service you will be set down in either the car park area (where a shuttle bus or taxi will collect you) or will be taken directly into the Buller Village - it will all depend on which operator you are traveling with.  Either way, when you depart Mt Buller at the end of your trip, your coach will leave from the Horse Hill car park, which you can access via a shuttle bus, taxi or the Horse Hill Chairlift.

It is a good idea to make sure you have a warm jacket and good footwear ready to put on for your arrival as you will be stepping out of your heated car into snow!

The local taxi drivers are familiar with the roads and are skilled in driving in snowy conditions. They will collect you and your luggage directly from your car and quickly have you delivered to the hotel door in minutes.
